SALEN is the old gymnasium at Sønderborg Barracks – which has just undergone a major renovation. SALEN can now be enjoyed as a state-of-the-art, new and exclusive conference room with a view over Alssund.
The ribs on the long side, the ropes from the ceiling and the badminton lines on the floor have been replaced with beautiful lighting, acoustic panels, a large bar and a large air conditioning system, which ensures a good indoor climate.

Ribberne på langsiden, rebene fra loftet og badmintonstregerne på gulvet er skiftet ud med flot belysning, akustikpaneler, stor bar samt et stort klimaanlæg, som sørger for det gode indeklima.

We are looking for a chef who wants to control the course of the battle in our large kitchen in SALEN Sønderborg Kaserne. In addition to the daily breakfast buffet for our many hotel guests, our conference room’s event calendar also includes many exciting events.
Therefore, we hope to find a permanent enthusiast for the kitchen, who dares to ‘put his hand on the stove’ and wants to help set the agenda for all the servings from the kitchen in SALEN, Sønderborg Barracks.
We are experiencing great interest in the city’s former barracks gym, which has been ready as a state-of-the-art, new and exclusive conference room with a view of Alssund since 2021. The new facilities offer endless possibilities for private parties, association gatherings, concerts, celebrations, meetings, etc. AND it is precisely here that our passionate soul in the kitchen will step in to help with the perfect composition and preparation of the servings.
We would like to see you as a co-owner of the kitchen, so that we ensure that all parties show and feel the same close relationship for the project that we do. As a co-owner, all finances will be separate from us – we offer to be responsible for renting and cleaning the SALEN, and want a co-owner who can ensure that our guests get the best taste experience.
We have a team of staff who are happy to help with serving and in the kitchen, but it is of course also an option to bring your own staff.
